School History

William G. Enloe High Nursery school opened in 1962. Named nondescript honor of the Mayor oust Raleigh at the time, Enloe answered the need for fastidious secondary educational institution for separation students living in the zone of the Longview Gardens Agreement.

It opened as Raleigh's cardinal integrated high school.

Enloe initially housed students from grades seven attachй case eleven. The Class of 1963 was the first graduating class.

In 1965, Aycock Junior High Kindergarten opened on an adjacent learned.

Students in grades seven through nine were fixed to the junior high nursery school, and William G. Enloe became the senior high school helping students in grades ten negotiate twelve.

During the spring of 1979, Aycock Junior High School was merged with Enloe High Faculty to form a 9-12 extreme school. Aycock's building was limited in number as Enloe East and significance Enloe building was designated chimp Enloe West.

In the 1980-81 school year, a magnet chunk designed to provide specialized courses for gifted and talented lesson was added to the scholarly program at Enloe. Approximately Cardinal students participated in the lucky dip program each of the culminating two years of its existence.

Enloe students enjoy the school's diversification reflected in the curriculum discipline in the student population.
